Terms of Service for the SPARK-AI Platform
Welcome to SPARK-AI (Socratic Polya Adaptive Reasoning Kit). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”) and the SPARK-AI platform (“we,” “our,” or “us”) governing your access to and use of the SPARK-AI platform (“Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. Purpose and Educational Scope
SPARK-AI is an educational AI platform designed to support learning, reasoning, and problem-solving in academic contexts. The Platform is intended for students, educators, and learners and is designed to guide users through structured, step-by-step reasoning processes rather than to provide immediate or final answers. SPARK-AI is not intended to replace formal instruction, assessment, or professional judgment.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree with any provision, you may not use the Platform.
3. Description of Services
The Platform provides AI-assisted educational support through interactive dialogue, adaptive tutoring strategies, and structured reasoning frameworks such as the Socratic method and Polya’s problem-solving approach. SPARK-AI may include multiple models (e.g., mathematics or programming tutors), each designed for specific educational purposes and learner profiles.
4. Beta Release
SPARK-AI is currently provided as a beta version. Users acknowledge that the Platform may contain inaccuracies, limitations, interruptions, or experimental features. Outputs may contain errors in reasoning, interpretation, or calculations. Use of the Platform during the beta phase is at the User’s sole risk, and results should always be independently verified.
5. User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for how they use the Platform and for evaluating the accuracy and appropriateness of any generated content. SPARK-AI is a learning support tool and should not be used for academic misconduct, plagiarism, or as a substitute for independent work where such use is prohibited.
6. No Academic or Professional Guarantees
SPARK-AI does not guarantee correctness, completeness, or academic validity of its outputs. The Platform does not provide certified educational outcomes, grades, or professional advice and should not be relied upon as a sole source for learning evaluation or decision-making.
7. Account Registration
Certain features may require account registration. Users agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to maintain the confidentiality of their credentials. Users are responsible for all activities conducted under their account.
8. Data Protection and Privacy
We do not sell Users’ personal data. Data provided to the Platform may be processed by trusted third-party service providers (such as AI model providers) solely to enable educational functionality. Technical and usage data may be collected for system improvement, research, and security purposes, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or reliability of educational outcomes.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SPARK-AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Platform, including reliance on generated educational content.
11. Modifications to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform if a User violates these Terms or misuses the Platform in a manner inconsistent with its educational purpose.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
